iHeartRadio is an Internet radio platform owned by Clear Channel Broadcasting, Inc. Founded in April 2008 as the website iheartmusic.com, iHeartRadio now functions as both a music recommender system and a radio network that aggregates content from over 800 local Clear Channel radio stations across the United States, as well as hundreds of stations owned by companies other than Clear Channel. iHeartRadio is available online, via mobile devices, and on select video game consoles. iHeartRadio is a free, all-in-one digital radio service that lets you find more than 1,500 Live Stations or create commercial-free, all-music Custom Stations featuring songs from the artist you select and similar music.
We were lucky to attend the Bay Area R users group last week where we recorded Laurent Gautier’s talk on the RPy2 bridge which allows one to use Python as the glue language to develop applications while using R for the statistics and data analysis engine. He also demonstrated how a web application could be developed around an existing R script.
